so i heart spanish food
my rapidly expanding waistline can attest to exactly how much
i heart the jamón (special cured kind of ham)
i heart the arroz con leche (kind of like rice pudding but way better)
i heart it all and am trying to figure out how antonio can ship me jamón after i go home (uncooked ham would never make it through customs)
however, i have recently been made aware of an interesting fact
americans and spaniards appraise the done-ness of meat very differently
our inedible = their rare
our rare = their medium
our medium = their well-done
our well-done = their charcoal
i have a picture to back this up, but i will have to post it at a later date as it is on antonio's camera
in any case, i have now tried their rare
and it was good, make no mistake
but it was a little hard to eat with my eyes open
Who knew it rained in the desert....
