fun things ive done:
been to toledo (old capital of spain) twice where i saw lots of cathedrals / synagogues / mosques / nunneries, one of the biggest bodegas (wine cellars) in the world (4000 bottles of wine), and a bunch of paintings by el greco
went to the museo del prado and saw some of goyas paintings (not velasquez' las meninas though so i have to go back)
hung out at el parque de el retiro where i saw the monument to alfonso something (el pacificador...funny given the large bronze sword he holds) and the palacio de cristal (in addition to lots of street performers and a super cool book fair with authors and all)
went over to the parque del oeste where we took the telefórico for a ride across (and above) madrid...there is definitely an amusement park i need to check out
fun things im planning to do:
go to the reina de sofia (modern art museum)
actually go inside the royal palace instead of just see it
hang out at el rastro (a flea market type thing every sunday)
go to a bull fight
head up to the mountains
possibly go visit a couple friends who were in my language classes but working in marbella (south coast of spain)
my roommates would like to add: go to barcelona, pamplona, ibiza, and morrocco
points of interest:
one of my roommates is a guy from england if anyone is interested
a bottle of wine is legitimately cheaper than a can of coke
sangria is AWESOME
they put ham in everything and there a multiple stores called 'museo de jamón'
their tooth fairy is a mouse named ratoncito perez
that is all for now
will try to post some pictures
miss you all!

So, most important question. Is this British kid cute, does he have an adorable accent!?!? If so, you should let him know I am available and that we will be in London for a few days in winter. :) Also, bull fights are far more violent than you might think, prepare yourself. I may have cried when I saw the bull die when I was little....
Chelsea the world traveler... jealous!
I got my Visa! It's hot.
Also, Spain looks beautiful. You can add a flickr widget to your blog if you want so I can photostalk you ;) Can't wait to see you in December! Tell Antonio hi!
